Welcome and greetings from sunny Arizona! Advances in modern technology have certainly made all our lives easier, allowing us to buy, ready-made, almost anything we might need or want, as long as we can pay for it.
Not long ago, most of the things that people wore and ate, many of their furnishings and such luxuries as personalized gifts and cosmetics had to be made at home. In accepting the convenience of mass-produced, machine-made products, we gave up some very personal pleasures. One was simple creative pride. A second was the incomparable aroma and taste of home-cooked-foods - from breads to broths. Another, particularly important in these ecologically sensitive times, was knowing all the ingredients that went into the dishes served at our tables. A fourth was a handmade touch here and there that marked our home as uniquely and comfortably ours.
The purpose of this web site is to help you recapture that sense of creative accomplishment, gain control over your home environment and cultivate the skills and techniques that allow you to express yourself in your home and in the gifts you make for family and friends.
